How it is read

Palaces are contexts, not verdicts

The Life Palace is an important starting point, but it never describes the entire person. The Body Palace, opposite Palace, connected triad and neighbouring influences add context. Major and supporting stars describe qualities that may become stronger or weaker depending on placement and brightness.

The Four Transformations — Hua Lu, Hua Quan, Hua Ke and Hua Ji — show flows of opportunity, authority, recognition and constraint. Their value comes from where they originate, where they land and how they connect to the rest of the chart.
