What the chart contains

Four Pillars, one connected system

The Year, Month, Day and Hour Pillars each contain a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch. They are not four isolated labels. Their elements, polarity, Hidden Stems, combinations, clashes and seasonal context create the chart’s overall pattern.

The Day Stem is called the Day Master. It is the reference point used to classify the Ten Gods: peer, resource, output, wealth and authority relationships. These names describe functions within the chart, not moral judgements.
